Has anyone noticed the increasing focus on iron ore pellets in the Middle East and Africa?

I was reading about recent developments in the steel industry and noticed that iron ore pellets are receiving more attention across the Middle East and Africa. It seems that as infrastructure and industrial projects continue to grow, manufacturers are looking for raw materials that can improve efficiency and maintain consistent production quality.

From what I understand, iron ore pellets are produced by processing fine iron ore into small, hardened spheres that are used in steel manufacturing. They are commonly available as blast furnace pellets and direct reduction pellets, with each type serving different production requirements.

One reason industries prefer pellets is their consistent size and high iron content. These characteristics can help improve furnace performance, reduce material waste, and support a more efficient steelmaking process. Proper storage and careful handling are also important to maintain pellet quality before they are used.

I'm interested in learning more about this topic from others who follow the mining or steel sector.

Do you think the demand for iron ore pellets in the Middle East and Africa will continue to grow over the next few years? What factors do you believe will have the biggest impact on this market?
